Return & Refund Policy
Every donation goes directly toward orphan care, girls’ education, and community programmes in Bangladesh. This policy explains the limited circumstances in which a refund can be considered.
Last updated: 13 July 2026General Policy: Donations Are Non-Refundable
All donations, sponsorships, and contributions made to AISDC are final and non-refundable once processed, as funds are committed to supporting orphans, students, and communities we serve. Because a donation is a gift and not a purchase, no goods or services are exchanged, and standard consumer “returns” do not apply.
When a Refund May Be Considered
As an exception to the general policy above, and in line with standard non-profit practice, we will review refund requests made in good faith in the following situations:
- Duplicate transactions — you were accidentally charged more than once for the same donation.
- Processing or technical errors — an incorrect amount was charged due to a website, payment gateway, or bank error.
- Unauthorized transactions — the donation was made fraudulently or without your authorization.
- Donor error — you entered the wrong amount or selected the wrong fund/campaign by mistake.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original transaction date. Requests made after this period will be reviewed at AISDC’s discretion, particularly where funds have already been disbursed to our programmes.
How to Request a Refund
Refund Timeline
Once a refund request is approved, AISDC completes the refund within a standard timeline of 7 to 10 working days, in line with our payment gateway partner’s processing standards. This covers the time from approval to the funds being released back to your original payment method; your bank or card issuer may take a few additional working days to reflect the credit in your account.
Refund completion: 7–10 working days from the date of approval.
Cancellation Policy
AISDC does not offer a general cancellation option for one-time donations once they have been processed, as these funds are treated as final and are committed to our programmes promptly. Only the limited exceptions listed in Section 02 (duplicate charges, processing errors, unauthorized transactions, or donor error) may qualify for a refund in place of cancellation.
If you have set up a recurring donation, you may cancel or modify it at any time by contacting us at admin@aisdcbd.org. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle; instalments already processed follow the refund conditions described above and are not automatically reversed.
Tax and Donation Receipts
If a donation receipt has already been issued for a transaction that is later refunded, the receipt will be voided or corrected accordingly. Donors are responsible for updating their own records where the refunded donation was previously claimed for tax purposes.
Late or Missing Refunds
If a refund has been approved but has not appeared in your account after the standard 7–10 working day timeline, please first check with your bank or card issuer, as additional processing time can occasionally apply. If you still have not received your refund after this, please contact us and we will follow up with our payment gateway partner on your behalf.
